When I say my birthday dinner was phenomenal. From booking to dinner was over 10/10! The manager accommodated my group of 15 people which was amazing. Sunda staff treated me so special the entire night. The chefs came out and wished me a happy birthday and provided us with complimentary entrees! Exceeded my expectations for my 31st. I will be back, and soon! Thank you Sunda!

Matt was just OUTSTANDING! The food was PERFECT, but the service was even better. EVERYTHING that we ordered was amazing... Drinks - Peared Sake was my favorite! Strawberry Fields was pretty good, too! Small Plates - Steamed Buns - both the Pork Belly and Korean Fried Chicken were pretty good... the pork belly was just PERFECT. Signature Crispy Rice - Wagyu and Spicy Tuna were pretty decent. The Tiger Shrimp Tempura is a MUST. Main Entrees - The Yuzu Ribeye, The Adobo Fried Rice and the Crispy Pata were all DELICIOUS. All and each one of them a must try! Desserts - "RIDICULOUS" is the perfect choice. The Mochi Ice Cream is pretty good, too. We can't wait to go back. Tried Sunda for a girls night and it was amazing. The vibes were on point for our evening out. Our drinks and food were delicious and featured so many unique flavors. For drinks, the espresso martini flight was so fun - the ube was so decadent and was our favorite. We also enjoyed the grass tiger - refreshing and light. For dinner, we loved the Crispy Rice (both the tuna and waygu were amazing), Bulgogi Tacos and the Rainbow sushi. We didn’t care for the snow crab handrolls - the flavor and texture were lacking and for the price we were disappointed. I’d skip these for sure. The service was impeccable - our server Evan and the support wait staff were all very attentive and helpful. Overall, an incredible meal and can’t wait to return!

Had a wonderful experience visiting Sunda restaurant for dinner! Atmosphere and decorations of Japanese art and photographs were really beautiful, and very clean interior! Our service was greatly provided by our server Garret and the team! We felt very well taken care off and food was excellent! Had nice presentation of all the options selected and the coconut cheesecake was light and creamy! Will be back to try more! Thank you! ❤️ 🍣

We dined at Sunda in Detroit on March 6 before they officially opened. The service, food, ambiance, even the music was top notch. The whole experience was wonderful. Jeremy was our server and he was amazing. He took the time to explain the menu and offer suggestions to us. Everything we ordered was delicious- if I could give it 10 stars I would! We will definitely be back! A wonderful new addition to the city!
